Cozumel Mexico Vacation Guide
Playa Bonita

Cozumel Beaches on the "windward side"!

Playa San Martin has been known as "The Naked Turtle" and is also known as Playa Bonita. Many remember The Naked Turtle for its zoo and horseback riding on the beach. This is one of the oldest of Cozumel Beaches on the windward side of the island.

Used to be able to ride horses on these Cozumel Beaches.

In these pictures, that are now dated, you will see that there used to be sand on the beach. But due to beach erosion the sea is taking back what is left of the beach. If you want to stop by for a quick drink as you drive around the island this is a place to relax in an un crowded environment as well as to use the bathroom.

They also sell Mexican curios in the front.

I have nothing against Playa San Martin but this beach has seen better days.

One thing that has not changed is the view. The picture on the right shows you Punta Chiqueros. It is also a great place to relax on a beach that is much less traveled.

The best thing that Playa San Martin has going for it is that it is located on Cozumel Island, Mexico!

There really isn't much more I can say about Playa San Martin/Playa Bonita.

The video below was taken on January 14, 2013. I think that it speaks for itself.
