Cozumel Ironman 70.3Ironman 70.3 Cozumel (or 1/2 Ironman as some refer to it), is scheduled for Sept. 22, 2012.

We also host the full Ironman event this coming November. It is a great excuse to come to Cozumel and enjoy the beautiful and refreshing waters of the Mexican Caribbean. With most of the island inhabited by native flora and fauna and surrounded by pristine crystal clear waters; it is the ideal destination for this prestigious event. Chankanaab National Park as well as Punta Sur Ecological Reserve which houses the world famous Columbia Lagoon; are favorite spots for family and friends of this years participants.Bike ride

This years Ironman 70.3 will have athletes competeing around the island starting wiht a 1.2 mile swim in the Mexican Caribbean sea followed by a 56 mile bike ride starting at the Palacio (City Hall). Downtown is close by so you can enjoy the many shops and restaurants located nearby. For those of you who are just spectators, Margaritaville is just across the street from the starting point.

13.1 mile run Ironman 70.3 CozumelNext is the 13.1 mile run which passes in front of many of the islands sights along the Melgar (or water front prominade). You will pass the town square and finish your run in front of the Palacio (City Hall).

There will be nearly 60 events in the Ironman 70.3.

This years event offers a professional prize of $50,000! Winners of this years "1/2 Ironman" event will also compete for 50 age group slots in the 2013 Ironman World Championship 70.3.
